How do I book a class?

You can book online here.

How long is a class?

Hand building class 2-hrs (Pottery and chill, Clay and Wine and Sunday Wine down)
Glazing class 1.5-hrs
Wheel throwing class 3-hrs (Beginner wheel throwing and Wheel and Wine)

How does the class work?

For our hand building class you will come into the studio for our 2 hr class where we will run through a couple of different hand building techniques. Then you have full creative freedom to make whatever you like with assistance from one of our helpful team.  At the end of the class you pay for your firing based on the size and number of pieces you have created. In two weeks time you are welcome to book back in for one of our 1.5 hr glazing classes where you will paint your work and pay for another lot of firing. Then finally your work will be ready for collection 2 weeks after you have glazed and you are welcome to come by the studio to collect your work during our opening hours.

Wheel throwing is a 3 week wait time before you can book in for glazing but you can still pick up your glazed work 2 weeks from the date you glaze.

When can I come to collect my work?

We are generally open
Friday – 5:30pm-8:30pm,
Saturday 8:30am-8:30pm and
Sunday 8:30am-6:30pm for collection.
If you’re not a Nambour local, make sure to give us a call or a message before you venture out.
Our address is Shed 4/20 Brookes Street, Nambour. QLD 4560

Do you offer wheel-throwing classes?

Yes, we do! We now offer beginner wheel throwing classes that are a three-hour class held by the beautiful Gaby. Please see our classes sections for available times, but do be aware that there are limited spots as there are only eight seats per class, allowing for more one-on-one time with your mentor.

Is firing included in all classes? How much will it cost?

No, firing costs are not included in the cost of your class. You will pay for it on the day based on the size and number of pieces you create, allowing students to create the piece of their dreams. Firing generally costs between $1-$15 per piece, depending on how much room it takes up in the kiln, and we will do the firing process for you.

What is the firing process? Do I need to do this?

If you would like to use your works, in short, yes. The firing process involves letting your work go bone dry on the shelves and then it will be fired in the kiln for 12-24 hours, This takes 2 weeks from the date you created your work, at which point you can book in and return to glaze your work. Please carefully read through our Firing & Breakage Policy.

How can I pay for my firing on the day?

We have both card and cash facilities at our studio.

It’s been two weeks since I made my work, is it ready to be glazed and can I go ahead and book in a glazing class online?

Yes, two weeks after creating your masterpiece you can book in for a glazing class at the time that suits you best.

Do you supply wine for Clay and Wine and Sunday Wine classes?

These sessions are BYO – meaning you are your own bartender for the night. You can bring your own wine, beer, spirits or whatever you choose to drink, we will supply the glasses.

Can I bring some nibbles and snacks to the class?

We welcome, if not encourage, snacks in all classes! However, take caution with our wheel-throwing classes, as you will spend a lot of the class covered in wet clay.

Can my child/children attend a class with me?

Yes, children of all ages are welcome to attend under adult supervision. We recommend not bringing kids under 18 yrs to our Clay and Wine and Sunday Wine down sessions, although we leave it up to you and are happy for them to attend with adult supervision.
