Lidded Vessels
July 12th | 9am–1pm 
This session is dedicated to learning the art of lidded forms, where you'll learn to throw bodies and lids in proportion, using calipers to nail the fit, and trimming to a finish.
Small forms, precise work.

Teapot Making: Part 1 - Planning & Throwing
September 20th | 9am–1pm
The teapot is the most technically demanding form in wheel throwing.
Part 1 covers the full throwing sequence (body, lid, spout, and handle preparation)
with attention to proportion and planning for assembly.
Completing Part 1 is a prerequisite for Teapot Making: Part 2.

Teapot Making: Part 2 - Trimming, Joining & Refining

Bringing all the components together. Trimming, spout attachment, handle pulling and joining, and final refinement. Part 1 is a prerequisite for this session.

Handbuilding Sculptural Forms

Moving beyond functional ware into three-dimensional form. This session explores handbuilding techniques - coiling, pinching, slab construction - in the context of sculptural work. Bring an idea or let one emerge in the making.

Lifting Larger

Throwing at scale demands a different relationship with clay - more body, more patience, more commitment per pull. This session is dedicated to building height and volume on the wheel, with focus on control and consistency across larger forms.

Coil Throwing

Coiling and throwing used together opens up forms that neither technique can achieve alone. This session covers the fundamentals of combining coil building with wheel work to extend height, alter shape, and add structural complexity.
