BOOKING RESCHEDULES & REFUND POLICY

Our venue holds, and many of our Classes and Courses sell out.
For this reason, we require the following minimum for cancellation of your booking:
Classes and Workshops: 24 hours
Intensive 1 Day Workshops: 7 days
4 Week Courses: 7 days.

This will allow us to offer your spot to another Customer.
You may message us via our website chat box, email us at hello@thepotterystudio.com.au or contact us via Instagram or Facebook messenger to cancel. For last minute cancellations please text our studio number 0459 900 990 - please note we do not attend this phone on weekends. We will respond in the working week - your cancellation will have a time stamp.

Please note, we do not offer refunds.
However, if you cancel in our minimum requirement time frames, we will credit your payment towards another class or course.
If you cancel outside of our minimum requirement times,
you will lose any payments you have already made. This is due to the small nature and limited seating of our classes. Cancelling less than our minimum means we will be unable to fill your space or offer to someone on our waitlists.

MEMBERSHIP PURCHASE POLICY

We have a 7 day cooling off period for Memberships which will allow a customer to gain a full refund if they wish.
After 7 days, Memberships are non-refundable.
In some circumstances we may honour a part refund, or credit to be used on classes/courses.

LATE ARRIVALS

Due to the class structure and introduction required at the beginning of classes, courses and workshops, if you are more than 10 minutes late, and furthermore, have not contacted us to let us know of this late attendance – your booking will be cancelled, or you will be asked to reschedule.

Due to health, safety requirements outlined in the demonstrations at the beginning of class, and out of respect to our other class attendees, teachers, and our time, we cannot accommodate late comers.
Additional accommodation like double demos, or starting class late, takes away time from other students and customers who arrived on time and were present for the introduction and necessary orientational instructions.
Please be on time to your classes, courses, or workshops - it is recommended you arrive 10 minutes early to find a park and be ready to begin at your allocated class or course time.

NO SHOWS / NON-ATTENDANCE

If you do not attend your class, course or workshop without prior cancellation or notification within our time frame minimum for rescheduling/cancelling, you unfortunately lose your place.

We understand that life gets busy - we do however send class and course reminders and give ample time to cancel or reschedule. We urge customers to take responsibility for booking dates they can attend and to have agency over making sure you notify us with ample time if you are unable to attend your booking.

No refunds or credits are available for non-attendance without notification.

REFUNDS, VOUCHERS & CHANGE OF MIND

Due to the nature of our small business, with limited space, offerings, and availability, we do not offer refunds for change of mind or incorrect purchases. However, we are happy to offer a credit or transfer to another class or course of equal value, should your plans change.


Please take your time in choosing, booking and purchasing your courses, classes, workshops and vouchers, to mitigate issues.

All vouchers are non-refundable and have an explicit expiry date, which it stated on the voucher/gift card. Vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase, and we do not offer extensions on this validity period.

If you or the recipient no longer wish to use a voucher, you are welcome to transfer it to a friend or family member, or resell it personally. Please note that The Pottery Studio is not responsible for facilitating or organizing any transfers or sales of vouchers.
Please contact us to discuss further options, we will do our best to assist you within our stated policies.

Sale items, season specials or limited time deals and discounts are non-refundable and non-transferable to other offerings

HOLDING OF STUDENT WORK IN STUDIO

Please note that we have limited storage space, and cannot indefinitely store pieces.

UNGLAZED WORK WILL BE HELD FOR 2 MONTHS ONLY before it becomes a donation for glazing classes, or given away to daycares, kindys and local artists for for art projects. 
GLAZED & FINISHED WORK IS HELD FOR 2 MONTHS ONLY and then given away to charity if uncollected.

If you know you will not be coming back to Glaze within 2 months, you can collect your work unglazed and bring it back when you have time. You can also contact us to put it aside for you, but we will only hold work for an extra 14 days past the 2 month cut off. 

The Pottery Studio is not liable to replace your pieces or offer refunds if you do not collect work before hold period cut offs. It is explicitly stated by our teachers in your lessons, signed on the studio walls and stated here in our policies. It is also in our firing and breaking policy
