Aelish - Studio Manager & Co-Owner. Running the studio for 3 years (with the team for 6), Aelish brings a masters-trained background in art therapy to her approach - she sees clay as an extension of ourselves, a medium for genuine self-connection, not just a craft.
Katherine (Katie) - TAFE-trained in Arts, Katie has been with the studio for almost 2 years. Her handbuilding style is unmistakably her own (gothic, textured, and full of character) and she's now bringing that same energy to teaching wheel throwing
Katharina (Kat) A studio member turned teacher, Kat has been part of the team for 2 years after 2 years as a member first. She can throw anything from delicate and thin to big and bold, and teaches wheel throwing with real passion for the craft
Hannah - Also a former member turned instructor, Hannah's handbuilding work is instantly recognisable... think sculpted sharks, textured shells, and larger-than-life octopuses inspired by the ocean. She also teaches wheel throwing.
Meg - An artist and painter by background, Meg joined the team this year and has taken to clay fast. She teaches our Clay & Wine classes and is quirky, passionate, and always exploring something new on the wheel.
Esther - Our newest team member, with 6+ years of pottery experience behind her. Esther teaches one of our wheel courses and brings a calm, supportive energy that puts beginners at ease.
HOW IT ALL BEGAN...
What started in January 2018 as a small handbuilding studio in a 50sqm shed (two tables, a shelf of tools, and every piece sent offsite to be fired) has grown into the Sunshine Coast's only 24/7 pottery studio.
It began with a simple idea: a love of pottery, a love of the Nambour community, and a belief that this town needed a place for creatives to gather.
We added our first kiln and wheels in 2019, and kept expanding from there... more kilns, more wheels, more space, as demand grew year on year. In 2021 we ran our first 4-week wheel courses. By 2023 we'd shifted our focus from one-off classes toward building a real membership community, welcoming our first 30 members and bringing on a dedicated studio manager to make sure the space worked for everyone who walked through the door.
Since then, we've kept growing: our in-studio membership has more than tripled, we launched online courses and workshops to reach a global community of hundreds of learners, and in 2026 we renovated the studio to make even more room for classes, members, and creativity.
Looking ahead, we're expanding our offerings again: more weekday classes, and new intermediate and kids' term courses launching in 2027.

We're all born creative; this is a space to find your way back to that.
Our studio is a warm, welcoming space where you can slow down, create, and just be yourself,
whether you're a complete beginner or a seasoned potter.
We're a community built on a shared love of pottery, art, and the connection it brings... to clay, to ourselves, and to each other.
Pottery offers something rare in a fast-paced world: the chance to be present, to work with your hands, your breath, and the earth.
It's a grounding, meditative practice and a genuine reminder of impermanence and non-attachment.
Not everything survives the kiln. Not every glaze turns out as expected.
We're transparent about that reality from the start, and we believe there's real beauty in letting go and trusting the process itself,
not just the finished piece.
Behind the scenes, our team is always busy... recycling clay, loading kilns, mixing glazes by hand, maintaining tools, and yes, plenty of cleaning.
We're continually developing our own skills too, growing as artists and educators alongside our students.
This studio is a true labour of love, and we couldn't do it without our team, or you.
OUR GOAL IS SIMPLE: to share the quiet joy of pottery, rooted in care for the earth, our materials, and each other.

We are committed to running a sustainable, community-focused studiothat prioritizes people and the planet.
Ceramics, while deeply rewarding, can have an impact on the planet - and we’re honest about that.
Clay is a natural, finite resource. Kilns require energy. Materials must be sourced.
Rather than turning away from these truths, we choose to work with them, actively doing things differently and more sustainably.
We handmake all of our glazes in-house using non-toxic, ethically sourced ingredients, steering clear of materials like lead or barium that can harm both people and the planet.
We recycle and reuse ALL of the clay used in our studio that doesn't make it into the kiln, even down to the trimmings from wheel courses and the slip water collected through sessions! We DO mix in some fresh clay with the recycle to keep its plasticity, so we have an always changing yet always effective recycle blend that has beautiful tones to it, with no wasteage!
We donate as much discarded, uncollected or unwanted work that we can! Or repurpose it in studio, so nothing goes to waste and nothing adds to landfill!
We also utilize solar energy to assist us in powering our kilns for all the many firings we have to do to keep up with your creativity!
We even make sure to collect and recycle all plastic, paper, glass and metal cans/bottles at our local donation and recycling centers.
