Wheel Throwing Course 2: Intermediate

Our 4-week courses run over 4 consecutive weeks, on the same day and time each week. This schedule is fixed - the course cannot be completed over a shorter or longer period.

Ready to take your throwing further?
This course is for those who loved our Wheel 1: Beginner course and want to keep building their skills (or who already have some wheel experience and are ready to move past the fundamentals)
Over four weeks, you'll refine your centering and shaping, develop your skills to create the forms you can think of, learn to attach handles with confidence, and start exploring surface decoration.

With hands-on guidance from our friendly instructors, you'll refine your core skills while learning how to tackle challenging forms and push the possibilities of the wheel.

You'll explore:

• Developing your shaping techniques into forms like vases, fluted rims, bowl curves, and collaring control
  
• Attaching handles with confidence and precision
• Decorating and carving techniques, including scraffito
• Refining your trimming skills and technique
  

What's included:

• 4 hands-on sessions (2.5 hours each)
• Up to 6 of your own handmade pieces to keep
• All clay and firing included
• FREE glazing class to finish your work

🔞 Ages 16+
⚠️ Missed a session? Depending on the schedule, we may be able to slot you into another course group for your missed session if applicable - alternative make-up sessions can be organized at $60 per hour.
